At the end of 1987, the Ministry of Culture held the Kunqunogu Gathering Report Performance in Beijing and the Kunqu Opera “Pan Jinlian” adapted and performed by the Shanghai Kunju Troupe. It was praised by literary and art circles as a “good show that does not go beyond the right or the left” and performed in Beijing Later, the show was performed in Shanghai and later on a stage art television series. Why do critics comment on “Pan Jinlian” with “no left or right”? What does this comment mean again?
