From the late 15th century to early 16th century, humanism emerged in Britain and was supported by the famous British scholars and the court of Henry VIII. In order to promote the spread of humanism and internalize British cultural qualities, which in turn influenced British society, many scholars and politicians introduced humanism into Oxford and Cambridge through the establishment of lectures on classical languages and humanities and the adjustment of university curricula. Due to the impact of humanism, Oxford and Cambridge have undergone significant changes in academic, college organization, student family origins and their relationship to politics.
