The US Medical Tribune, Volume 21, Issue 7 (1980) reports on Buffalo: Russell Besse-tte, professor of oral surgery and professor of oral pathology at the State University of New York, said that cryosurgery has been successful For the removal of large area, malignant salivary gland tumors, to avoid the damage face and facial paralysis occurred when the tumor was removed with traditional surgery. Besett called cryosurgery as an experimental technique and applied only to one patient. He said that cryosurgery for patients suffering from salivary adenoma under anesthesia can save half of the time, and it is also smaller than that caused by traditional surgery, that is, damage to the seventh cranial nerve through the two leaves of parotid gland.
