In the measurement of the modulation transfer function of the infrared polycrystalline germanium lens, it has been found that the measurement results obtained by using the interferometer according to the pupil function autocorrelation have a large deviation. This may be due to the intergranular boundary of the polycrystalline germanium that makes the change of the wavefront in the local area uncorrected by the interferometer, leading to the systematic error of the measurement. Based on the relationship between the Strehl center point irradiance S.D and the modulation transfer function MTF, this paper simulates the possible change of S.D caused by the intergranular polyglume.
