我国著名马克思主义经济学家、中国社会科学院经济研究所和社会学研究所原所长,第八届全国政协委员何建章同志因病于2004年2月2日在北京逝世,终年78岁。何建章同志1926年出生,广东省南海县人。1949年毕业于上海复旦大学政治系;1950～1957年在北京外国语学院任教;1958～1978年在中国科学院经济研究所从事研究工作,曾协助孙冶方编写《社会主义经济论》提纲;1978～1984年任国家计委经济研究所副所长、研究员,曾协助薛暮桥编写《中国社会主义经济问题研究》一书;1985～1988年任中国社会科学院社会学研究所所长、研究员;1991～1994年任中国社会科学院经济研究所所长、研究员。
The famous Marxist economist in China, the former director of the Institute of Economic Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Institute of Sociology, Comrade He Jianzhang, member of the Eighth CPPCC National Committee, died in Beijing on February 2, 2004 at the age of 78. Comrade He Jianzhang was born in 1926 in Nanhai County, Guangdong Province. He graduated from Fudan University in 1949, graduated from the Political Department of Shanghai Fudan University. From 1950 to 1957, he taught in Beijing Foreign Languages Institute. From 1958 to 1978, he engaged in research work at the Institute of Economic Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He assisted Sun Yefang in preparing the outline of “Socialist Economic Theory.” From 1978 to 1984 He served as deputy director of the State Planning Commission Economic Research Institute, researcher, has assisted Xue Muqiao compilation of “China’s socialist economic issues” a book; 1985 ~ 1988 of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Sociology, researcher; 1991 ~ 1994 Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Economic Research, researcher.
