近二十年来世界各国大型泵站的建设相当迅速,主要原因是农业生产的发展,促进了大型排灌站的兴建,同时科学技术的发展,也使工业上能够提供大型化和现代化的机组。在一些工业发达的国家,水资源的利用水平较高,跨流域的调水输水工程已逐步发展,其枢纽工程的主体就是大型泵站。至于抽水蓄能泵站,不仅历史悠久,而且规模很大。中小型排、灌站的建设更加普遍,已作为一个国家农业生产技术水平及抗御旱涝灾害能力的重要标志之一。
The construction of large-scale pumping stations in various countries in the world over the past 20 years has been rather rapid.
