According to a July “Caijing” magazine report, a wide range of newspaper reform programs have been drafted by the State Press and Publication Administration, is currently being reported to the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee for final determination. In addition to the specific proportions of foreign capital and private capital that may account for the newspaper’s shares, there are still controversies in the program. Basic consensus has been reached on the principle of decoupling newspapers from the competent authorities. Industry experts believe that “the deepest newspaper industry reform in history” has quietly begun. The fate of at least a thousand newspapers and periodicals will be changed accordingly. The first step will be to transform newspapers and periodicals into enterprises and set up legal channels for capital to enter the media aisle. No doubt, this time, the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Editorial Editors’ Association, August 9 -12, in Huangshan City, Anhui Province, organized the third session of the Third Board of Directors, with far-reaching and realistic significance.
