More recently, Xerox Corporation of the United States announced new results in the development of its printing capabilities for flexible organic transistor circuits. Through the use of polythiophene semiconductor inks and new materials, the company’s research team hopes to make the plastic transistor closer to practical. The technology is ultimately expected to result in low-cost flat-panel displays, as well as low-end microelectronics such as RFID tags. Researchers in Canada have developed materials for transistors and dielectrics for printing, using an inkjet process for printing. Researchers have confirmed that they can print transistors by using semiconductor inks at low temperatures and outdoors
