The tomb of the Northern Song Dynasty thinkers Zhouyi Yi is located on the outskirts of Jiujiang, north of Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi Province. Its tomb has been maintained and restored by dynasties, gentry and scholars since the Southern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, and the renovation carried out by Peng Yulin, especially at the end of the 19th century, was large. In the early 20th century, Japan’s Tokuyoshi Domoto surveyed and wrote a report. However, during the “Cultural Revolution”, the tomb was completely destroyed. As it entered the 21st century, the tomb was restored and the scene of the past was restored. The purpose of this article is to trace the history of the tomb of Zhou Yi since the Northern Song Dynasty and to inspect its status quo. Recent changes have also shown the development of Confucianism in contemporary China from one aspect.
