In foreign language teaching, the interrelationship between reading and translation is vague. To date, neither literature nor teaching practice has contributed decisively to clarifying the line between the two. Reading comprehension, the kind of comprehension reading as a solitary, or complete, technique in teaching, is a fairly new field for the methodology and pedagogy of foreign language teaching.
