Japan’s nuclear fuel companies conduct uranium exploration in various parts of Japan and recently found a very high grade of uranium outcrop in Miyazu, Kyoto Prefecture. Radioactive abnormalities (720-920 counts / second; natural counts 400-500 counts / second) were first found in Lok Si Temple in Yakicho, Takeno-gun, Kyoto Prefecture in November 1959. Then, in the county, Omiya-machi Palace and Yasuyama-machi also have discovered radioactive anomalies. From December 1959, the nuclear fuel company conducted investigations on the geology, structure and mineral deposits in the area. From February to March 1962, it conducted another electrical prospecting. It is ascertained that the geology of the area is composed of basement granite and sedimentary rocks and volcanic rocks covered above it.
