中学美术教育以培养学生欣赏美、发现美和创造美为目的,凡是能够提高学生这些能力的教学方法和教学内容都可以走进中学美术课堂。在学生的生活中,学生用过的很多东西已不用或少用了。如果能引导学生们将这些东西进行二次加工,旧物利用,变废为宝,一方面能培养学生动手能力和创造美的能力;另一方面还能使不起眼的闲置物品变为具有欣赏价值的艺术品,使学生体会到艺术创造的乐趣。
