小浆果,以其含有丰富的营养物质、适于果品加工、栽培容易、抗寒性较强而著称于世。在西欧,十七世纪初就成为人们喜食的果品,种类、品种很多。我国在二十世纪初,经俄国人引种至哈尔滨帽儿山一带栽培。但绝大部分不能适应我国北方严寒地区的气候条件,只有很小面积的埋土防寒栽培。
