I. INTRODUCTION In the laboratory of a machine-building factory, the analysis of cast iron usually takes up a lot of workload, especially for the analysis of silicon. The time required for chemical analysis is about three hours. For the workload of silicon, we think it would be a valuable work to use spectral analysis instead of chemical analysis. Because of the spectral analysis, it is simpler and faster than chemical analysis, both in terms of handling and in the amount of man-hours required.
