福建地处东南沿海,生态环境质量优越,植物种类繁多,资源十分丰富,目前已知的高等植物有4703种,约占中国总量的14.3%,国家重点保护的野生植物有52种。闽南古树名木资源丰富,95%以上的古树名木分布在农村山区,涉及南方红豆杉、棒树、闽楠、银杏、苏铁、杉木等24个树种。2006年以来,延平区、建阳、沙县等26个县(市、区)先后开展古树名木挂牌保护 Located in the southeast coast of Fujian Province, Fujian boasts excellent ecological environment, rich plant species and rich resources. Currently, there are 4,703 species of higher plants, accounting for 14.3% of the total in China. There are 52 species of wild plants under state protection. Minnan ancient trees are rich in natural resources. Over 95% of old and famous trees are distributed in rural mountainous areas, involving 24 species of southern yew, bar, Phoebe bournei, ginkgo, cycad, fir and so on. Since 2006, 26 counties (cities and districts) in Yanping District, Jianyang County and Shaxian County have launched the protection of ancient and famous trees
