This paper reports the frequency and morphology of IL-2 secreting cells in peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) in normal and cancer patients, and changes in the frequency of IL-2 secreting cells in patients with urologic cancer before and after surgery using the APAAP method. The frequency of IL-2 secreting cells in cancer patients was compared with that of EB virus antibodies in serum. Preliminary findings: compared with normal people, the frequency of IL-2 secreting cells in PBL of tumor patients was significantly lower than normal (P<0.01), and the frequency of IL-2 secreting cells in 14 patients with urologic tumor after a period of time after tumor resection. Compared with the preoperative level, the antibody titer of Epstein-Barr virus increased significantly in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients, but the frequency of IL-2 secreting cells was significantly lower than that in normal subjects. It is speculated that the determination of IL-2 secreting cells in PBL may be one of the indicators for dynamically observing the immune function of tumor patients, and may provide a certain reference for the occurrence, development, treatment effect and later judgment of tumors.
