该系统由输水管网图形管理和阀门档案数据管理两部分组成。统计、查寻、制表、制图，均由计算机来完成，实现了计算机化管理。与以往的人工管理相比，计算机管理具有查寻速度快、准确无误、制表制图清晰规范、存贮资料详细明了、图表易于增删改等优点，大大地提高了劳动效率和工作质量。该系统具有功能完善、紧密结合生产及设备状况的实际、操作简便、实用性强、投入少、效益大等特点．满足了当前生产发展的需要。
The system consists of water pipeline network management and valve archival data management in two parts. Statistics, search, tabulation, cartography, are done by the computer to achieve a computerized management. Compared with the traditional manual management, computer management has the advantages of fast search speed, accuracy, clear specification of the tabulation drawing, detailed storage of the data, easy addition, deletion and modification of the chart, greatly improving labor efficiency and quality of work.
