艺术当然要反映生活的本质,但这不是艺术的专利,因为科学,特别是社会科学也要反映生活的本质。问题不在于本质,而在于艺术所反映的本质与科学所反映的本质有什么不同。大家都说,二者是统一的,但这种统一,有没有量的界限?是等量的统一,还是不等量的统一?这种统一有没有质的歧异?是同质的统一,还是异质的统一? 本文拟就这方面问题作深入一步的探寻。着重点不在统一,而在统一中的不统
Art, of course, should reflect the essence of life, but it is not the patent of art because science, especially social science, should also reflect the essence of life. The problem is not the essence but the difference between the essence reflected by art and the essence reflected by science. Everyone said that the two are unified, but are there any limits to such unification? Is it the same amount of unification or an unequal amount of unification?
