The purpose of this study was to determine whether patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome have high intestinal and somatic sensitivities, autonomous cardiovascular disorders, and low intestinal inflammatory concentrations. Innovations: Patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome have been found to have autonomic cardiovascular dysfunction and low intestinal gut inflammation (both of which were controversial in previous studies). In addition, there was a correlation between hypersensitivity to the gut and somatic hyperosmolarity, high intestinal hypersensitivity and disorders of autonomic cardiovascular function, somatic hyper-sensitivity, and autonomic cardiovascular disorders in patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome for the treatment of patients for reference. METHODS: From September 2013 to May 2014, 62 diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome patients and 20 healthy volunteers participated in this study. All subjects accepted and successfully completed the relevant inspection and questionnaire filling. Using a constant voltage (extremes to limit) test we found that patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome had high intestinal hypersensitivity. At the same time, using cold water stimulation and ischemia stimulation method to detect diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome patients with somatic high sensitivity. Important Conclusions: Patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome have high intestinal and somatic sensitivities, autonomic cardiovascular dysfunction, and low intestinal inflammatory concentrations. Intestinal hypersensitivity and somatic hyperosmolarity, intestinal hypersensitivity and autonomic cardiovascular dysfunction, somatic hyperresponsiveness and autonomic cardiovascular disorders were related.
