我厂一台75kW台车式箱形电炉,空炉升温时间从室温到850℃,长达4小时多。周期性作业生产每班只能处理一炉,不但生产率低,而且热效率也很低。因此,我们对它进行改造,取得了较好的效果。箱式电炉的改造(1)炉膛部分全部采用新型超轻质耐火砖砌炉体。该材料蓄热少、热传导系数小,可显著缩短升温时间。一般轻质耐火砖强度低,我们采用的是上海电炉耐火材料厂新试制的新型耐火材料,具有较高的强度。现在一般箱式电炉均采用体积密度为1.3的轻质耐火砖砌炉膛。改造后的炉子,炉膛的炉体侧墙、炉顶
