“Plateau Meteorology” has been the first of its kind in China for 30 years since it was the carrier of concentrated research on the research of plateau meteorology, atmospheric science and related issues in China. Based on the detailed information provided by the literature database, based on the quantitative interannual distribution of such indicators as the number of papers published in Plateau Meteorology, subject classification, research area, core author group, research hotspots, citations, fund grants and periodical impact factors, This paper analyzes the research content and research direction of this issue, and discusses the main components of the organization distribution, core authors and subject funding in the field of domestic research. The results show that in the past 30 years, the number of papers published in “Plateau Meteorology” shows a trend of rapid growth in general, especially since the CAS carried out the project of knowledge innovation. This trend is especially evident. Relevant research institutions have obvious disciplinary relevance. The Tibetan Plateau, numerical simulation and climate change are the three most frequently occurring keywords in the journal. Since 1991, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its numerical simulation are the most frequently occurring keywords, indicating that both are “highland meteorological ”Continuous focus of research hot spots. Citation analysis shows that papers cited in Plateau Meteorology are increasingly cited by CSCD and SCI and impact factors of periodicals are further improved, further illustrating that the impact of this journal in disciplines continues to grow. In addition, due to the rise of emerging research forces and the need of researchers to enhance their international influence, the journal has not yet formed a steady core group of authors. This poses new opportunities and challenges for the sustainable development of Plateau Meteorology and international promotion.
