我1926年出生在北京协和医院。我父亲那时候在北京的电报局工作。后来他调回苏州老家,我也跟着回苏州了。我弟弟妹妹都在苏州老家出生的。我们很小的时候,知道我父亲是抗战青年,很进步的。他在苏州时曾在全民图书馆义务工作,他的正式工作是在电信部门打电报,“滴滴”、“滴滴”的。我父亲认识的人都是比较进步的,如抗战演剧队的金山、王莹、王为一这些人。他和进步人士联系比较多,他也认识抗战七君子沈君儒、史良、章乃器 I was born in 1926 in Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
