The electrocochlear electrogram of Meniere’s disease showed typical-SP changes, but its mechanism of production is not clear. The authors conducted a long-term follow-up of some patients with Meniere’s disease and observed changes in their cochlear electrogram. The subjects were 24 Meniere’s disease with significant changes in the cochlear electrocochleogram or abnormal increase in the -SP / AP ratio, of whom 12 underwent endolymphatic balloon valvuloplasty and 12 underwent non-surgical treatment. Between the first and the 9th year after the first electrocochleography was recorded, each subject received 3 to 9 different cochlear electrograms. The results showed that only one out of 12 surgical patients had a significant change in the -SP / AP ratio in the future. Since the fourth year, the ratio of -SP / AP remained at a normal level. After 7 months and 4.5 years Audiogram showed that pure-tone audiometry at 250 Hz and 500 Hz improved, while pure-tone audiometry at 2 kHz further decreased, with more than 11
