Research on old structural windows containing uranium granites is part of the Regional Uranium Exploration Program (SGU) of the Swedish Geological Survey. The old structural window in the Caledonian orogenic belt in Scandinavia is one of the anticlines on the Swedish-Norwegian border, where the Precambrian basement of the Caledonian exoplastics was revealed (Figure 1 omitted). The Precambrian basement is mainly composed of acidic to neutral volcanic rocks, microscopic granites and biotite granites, and the regional geochemical study of the rocks is underway. Granite has been studied in more detail, some of which contain unusually high amounts of uranium and thorium, and a large number of vein-type uranium mineralization.
