The tremendous potential of panoptic imaging in the preservation and repair of works of art, as well as the technique of recording artwork images, has been demonstrated. It is used to uncover damaged and damaged parts of statues and paintings that have been proven elsewhere and new possibilities are being discovered. It has now been possible to envisage the application of holography to many unique applications such as the display of three-dimensional images or even the visual comparison of body-shape similarities between the statues exhibited on different continents. Describes and illustrates the work on the works of Perissa, Condotaro, and others, pointing out the special problems of preserving artwork in the context of Venice.
