INTRODUCTION Wakayama No.2 Steel Plant originally used ingot casting to produce seamless steel tube blank. 1979 January car set up a large cross-section billet continuous casting machine, the production of seamless steel tube blank quickly realized the continuous casting. In order to master and solve the production of continuous casting slabs that can meet the seamless steel pipe production requirements and quality problems, before 1979, the second-rate billet casting test was carried out on the original slab continuous casting.
