日本电报电话公司茨城电气通信实验室把受激喇曼散射效应应用于光时域反射计,这种简称为喇曼光时域反射计(ROTDR)的技术适用于超长多模光纤的故障检测。实验中用波长为1.6μm的斯托克斯光脉冲,这对于故障检测是最有利的。证明了长度超过80km的多模光纤中的故障是可以检测的,并证明了用ROTDR技术可测量光纤在1.6μm的损耗。
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation Ibaraki Electric Communications Laboratory to stimulate the application of stimulated Raman scattering effect of optical time-domain reflectometry, referred to as the Raman optical time-domain reflectometry (ROTDR) technology for long multi-mode fiber fault detection . In experiments, a Stokes light pulse with a wavelength of 1.6 μm was used, which is most advantageous for fault detection. It is proved that the fault in multimode fiber with the length of more than 80km can be detected and it is proved that the loss of the fiber in 1.6μm can be measured by the ROTDR technique.
