Before the Ching Ming Festival, the tombstone of China’s last eunuch, Sun Yaoting, was erected in the cemetery of Shuangtang Village, Jinghai West, in his hometown of Tianjin. Sun Yaoting died in Beijing Guanghua Temple on December 17, 1996, whose death caused the attention of the news media at home and abroad. China News Agency, U.S. Press, AFP, Current Affairs Agency, France’s TV No. 2 and so on have all heard the news one after another, and hundreds of newspapers and magazines in the world have reported the death of him.
