Personality has always been the core content of historical figures. As far as the relationship between character and culture is concerned, personality influences the process of cultural creation and human culture; at the same time, the process of cultural creation also promotes the sublimation of individual character. The study of the history of personality and culture by British poet historian Symonds makes a unique interpretation of the interrelationship between personality and cultural creation from the perspective of history and leaves many inspiring case studies. In the 19th century, Western historians, like Symonds, combined the study of personality and cultural history at the academic level with the process of personal life-discerning. In biographical works and other historical works, they always pay attention to the research concept of personality and cultural history. Trying to write a history of homosexual cultural history of historians, called rare. Nowadays, when the concept of postmodern historiography is gradually popularized, scholars need to make new discussions on the above situation.
