完形填空题是通过让学生填补所缺信息以考查学生综合运用语言知识的能力的题型。这类题型是在一篇文章中抽掉若干个词或短语,并给出四个选项,其中三个是干扰项,一个是正确的选项,要求学生根据上下文的语境推断出被挖空的词或短语,使文章意义通顺,语法正确。这种题型是常见的测试题型,也是目前全国各地中考必考题型。
完形填空题不仅考查学生的阅读理解能力,而且也对语言运用能力加以考查。其中包括对语法、句型、习惯用法的运用,对词汇、句子以及文章的理解和逻辑推理,对作者写作意图的把握等能力的考查。因此,完形填空的考点涉及到阅读理解能力、词汇运用能力、语法知识的运用能力和逻辑推理能力,综合性较强。对大部分学生来说,它也是中考英语中失分较多的一项,是能较好体现区分度的题型。
第一部分 题型特点
综观2010年江苏各地中考英语试卷中的完形填空部分,不难看出,中考完形填空题有以下几个特点:
1. 以篇章结构的文章为载体,考查学生的语言知识和语言能力。所选用的文章通常是一个比较完整的故事或有一定教育意义的话题,有明确的主题思想、逻辑关系和语言特色。
2. 以意义填空为主。试题在着重考查学生阅读理解能力的前提下,兼顾对语言、常识、逻辑推理能力的考查。
3. 所选的语篇通常没有标题。为了使语篇的意思明确,语篇的首尾句一般不设空,给出完整的句子。
4. 语篇的难度适中。通常长度在200词左右,题量在10—15小题之间,各小题所提供的四个选项一般属于词形词性一致的词。
5. 考点多以名词、动词、形容词和副词等信息词汇为重点,兼顾介词、连词、冠词等结构词的考查。所设空白处,名词、动词、形容词、副词和代词这五类词约占80%。
