黄霑是天性洒脱,而卢国沾总有难释怀之处。林夕甚至评论,卢国沾的天马行空恐怕只因三个字:不甘心。每当变幻时,便知时光去。有评论说,1978年是香港填词界的元年。因为从这时起,卢国沾、黄霑、郑国江等填词大家开始贡献出自己的代表作。当年的歌曲,尤其是武侠剧集的主题曲,因填词人扎实的文学功底而被赋予深厚的内涵。不过,这三人各有不同:黄霑大情大性,郑国江有赤子般的欢喜心,卢国沾呢,他最有中年人的沉郁心思,用情极深,而落笔又极克制。在《歌词的背后》一书里,他特意提及两首武侠歌曲的创作,一首《愿君心记取》,是电视剧《小李飞刀》的
