商族始祖名契,契之孙相土迁于商。商族之名,由是而起。关于商族的发祥地,历来说法不一。近年金景芳先生撰文从文献上考证:契所居之“番”,乃“燕毫”之“毫”;而契子昭明所居之“砥石”,在内蒙昭乌达盟克什克腾旗的白岔山,提出了“商文化起源于我国北方”的论断。建国以来的考古发现表明,古文献所载商族入主中原前的历史活动,确可以从出土文物中得到较多的印证和说明。 Merchants ancestor name deed, the grandson of the sun and the earth moved to business.
