提高教学质量是学校的永恒主题。影响教学质量的因素很多,但是,最基本的是教师教的质量和学生学习的质量。人们关于影响远程教育质量的因素进行了深入的研讨,对于建立远程教育的质量保证体系也提出了很多有学术价值的理论、对策等,但是,如果不提高远程教育教师的质量,提高远程教学质量就是一句空话。电大建校30多年了,教师的学历结构有了一定变化,博士、硕士比例有一定提高,但是,与快速发展的远程教育相比仍然不相适应。加强远程教育教师队伍建设,就必须提高教师的学历层次,提高教师的教学能力、科研能力,这是提高教学质量的必然要求。
