当前世界钢铁需量停滞不前。世界钢铁产品能够满足市场需要。今后开发的方向是生产具有更高质量,更高附加价值和更高效能的产品。而生产工艺的特点是转炉钢和电炉钢增加,平炉钢迅速下降,连铸比增加,连铸同轧钢连接出现许多柔性系统。2000年的钢厂,可能是采用融熔还原—氧气转炉—炉外精炼—接近成品连铸新工艺,整个炼钢过程将更紧凑更灵活,采用人工智能计算机操作管理。我国钢铁工业应采用先进技术进行改造,制订长远规划,分步实现。
