玉器传统题材是中国文化的重要元素,是中国文化的宝贵财富,也是大家喜闻乐见,并乐于接受的内容。从历史上看,传统题材也在不断变化,从史前一直到夏商周、战汉、唐宋元明清,龙凤题材都有很多变化,反映出各个时代的精神风貌。因此,当代在表现传统题材时,不是一味仿古,而是要出新。如何出新是一个课题,变得好、变得对就能大幅提升玉器的价值。这就是大家常说的传承与创新的问题。建国以来也不乏可圈可点的传统创新题材,有的符合时宜,比如潘秉衡的《待月西厢下》,顺应了上世纪50年代婚姻自由变革的趋势;有的纪念重大事件,
