自蘇聯專家威烈基金創造稻草半料漿以後,根據他的新理論,在蒸煮竹絲或竹漿板方面,曾起了很大改進,使紙漿收獲量大大提高,有利於目前的文化建設高潮。關於利用老竹製漿,前輩曾有很多研究,惟感所用蒸煮條件,如壓力與時間等,似屬過高,按照威烈基金之见解,賞有减低之可能。適藉華南竹業公司有試製竹漿之意,作者得參予該項研究工作,惟因條件與時間限制,所得結果,街不够詳盡,聊述於下,俾供參考。
