液晶显示器件(LCD)是一种新型的平板显示器件。由于它具有驱动电压低、功耗小、寿命长和能被CMOS电路直接驱动等特点,所以在使用电池作电源的小型数字仪器仪表中获得了广泛应用。随着应用范围的不断扩大,对液晶显示器件也提出了多品种化的要求。特别是用于车辆上的数字仪表及室外使用的数字仪表等应用场合,要求LCD在恶劣的低温环境中具有高响应速度。因此,对LCD的温度特性和可靠性提出了极严格的要求。目前国内生产的液晶显示器件应用温度范围能达到-10~65℃的范围就已经相当不错了。但日本东芝公司在早几年以前就已研制出能在-30~85℃范
