随着全球化的不断推进,越来越多的企业参与国际竞争。企业的英文简介如果能够做到内容易被接受,形式得体,符合西方文化习惯,则能够准确传达信息,达到较好的宣传效果。但很多企业的英译简介却存在很多问题,如词汇的选择、信息的处理、篇章结构设计、总体把握等,极大地降低了沟通和交流的效率。本文从功能对等翻译理论角度出发,介绍了企业简介的文体特点和功能,通过分析对比中国公司的中文企业简介和国外公司的英文简介在语言特点和结构组成上的差别,及具体英译例证。为企业简介的翻译提供一个新的视角,以期帮助翻译者更加深刻的理解企业简介,译出读者接受的译本。
As globalization continues to advance, more and more enterprises participate in international competition. If the enterprise’s English profile can be easily accepted in the content, the style is decent and in line with Western cultural habits, it can accurately convey the information and achieve better publicity results. However, many enterprises have many problems in English translation, such as the choice of vocabulary, the handling of information, the design of textual structure and the overall grasp, which greatly reduce the efficiency of communication and exchange. This essay introduces stylistic features and functions of the company profile from the perspective of functional equivalence translation theory. By analyzing and contrasting Chinese companies’ profiles of Chinese companies with those of foreign companies in language characteristics and structure, . It provides a new perspective for the translation of company profiles with a view to helping translators understand the company profile more deeply and translate the translations accepted by the readers.
