我国传统的大学英语教学法，一直是把重点放在词汇、语言点和句子上，对课文进行逐词逐句地分析、讲解和翻译，这种教学模式不利于调动学生学习英语的积极性和发挥学生的主观能动性，严重影响了学生运用英语进行交际的能力，不能适应我国现代化建设的需要。因此，改革英语教学内容，创新英语教学方法，是英语教学的当务之急。结合教学实践及对英语教学方法改革的认识，可采用以下一些方法来改革大学综合英语教学方法，即采用讨论法、释义法、写作法、图表法及检测法等以培养学生的英语交际能力。
The traditional method of college English teaching in our country always focuses on vocabulary, language and sentence, and analyzes, interprets and translates texts word by word and sentence by sentence. This teaching mode is not conducive to arousing the enthusiasm of students and learning English Students ’subjective initiative has seriously affected students’ ability to use English to communicate and can not meet the needs of China’s modernization. Therefore, the reform of English teaching content, innovative English teaching methods, English teaching is the top priority. Combining teaching practice and understanding of the reform of English teaching methods, we can use the following methods to reform college English teaching methods, that is, discussing, interpreting, writing, charting and testing to cultivate students’ communicative competence in English.
