In the article between the “Wenyi and Yiyi” contained in the third issue of the Journal, “The difference between the culture and the meaning of the classical language must be different from that of modern Mandarin. Therefore, there are two situations. Since it is not easy to make mistakes, we can Seen as irrelevant.... One is that the meaning of ancient and modern words has not changed, such as ’water’, ’fire’, ’married’, ’red’, ’red’, ’yellow’, etc. Since the meaning of the word has not changed, the meaning of the word can also be unimpeded. “The focus is on what I have added.” The word “red” is used as a word with no change in the meaning of ancient and modern words. I cannot agree with this. There are two reasons: Although both the “red” of the ancient Chinese and the “red” of the modern Chinese can represent colors, the colors are different. The “red” in ancient Chinese specifically refers to pink, light red and pink; the “red” in modern Chinese can refer to all red colors. To put it more clearly, the concept of “red” in ancient Chinese has a small extension, and the word “red” in modern Chinese has a large extension. In ancient Chinese, the words that express the concept of “red” today are “Red”, “Dan”, and “Zhu”; only after the Tang Dynasty, red is used to refer to the general red color. Therefore, in ancient and modern times, the red flag was called “red flag” and “red flag”, and the red heart was called “red heart”.
