[Pritchard CC, et al. N Eng J Med, 2016, 375 (5): 443-453] As a common malignant tumor in men in Europe and the United States, prostate cancer has a clear genetic predisposition. The current study shows that mutations in DNA repair genes (such as BRCA2) are closely related to the progression of prostate cancer and cancer-related lethality. However, for patients with focal prostate cancer who have not been found to have familial susceptibility, routine testing is difficult due to the extremely low levels of DNA repair gene mutations. For patients with metastatic prostate cancer, the current frequency of DNA repair gene mutations is low
