夫余作为族名和国名,究竟由何而来,国内学者历来各持己见,众说纷纭。关于它的由来,概括起来大体有六说,兹陈述于下并加以辨考,就教于同道。1.符娄说《逸周书·王会篇》附《商书·伊尹朝献》记载:“伊尹受命,于是为四方令。曰:臣请正东符娄、九州、伊虑、沤深、九夷、十蛮、越沤”。南宋学者王应麟《周书王会补注》谓:“符是夫余,娄是挹娄,或符娄即夫余。”金毓黻先生在《东北通史》中采用此说,夫余之来源“或谓古之符娄”~1。此说难以令人置信。我们知道,《逸周书》,原名《周书》,连序共七十一篇,为先秦古籍,经考证多数
