3,5-dihydroxyacetophenone is an important intermediate for the synthesis of adrenergic drugs [1]. Its preparation method comprises the following steps: condensing 3,5-dimethoxybenzoic acid methyl ester with ethyl acetate, hydrolyzing decarboxylation and demethylating; [2] 3,5-dimethoxybenzamide and Methyl magnesium iodide reaction, then demethylation [3] and so on.
