自从广东的《羊城晚报》等媒体采用悬赏“猛料”和开通“报料热线”的方法来夸大新闻源以来,其他媒体纷纷仿效。于是新闻线人便如雨后春笋般诞生了。而新华社在伊拉克战争中因采用新闻线人贾迈勒而领先于美联社、路透社成为第一个报道战争打响的通讯社后,新闻线人不仅引起了各政党性刊物的重视,也引起了学界广泛而热烈的讨论。然而,我们也应该看到,新闻线人这一现象的产生是和媒体密切相关的,媒体作为党和人民的喉舌在引导着社会舆论,因此新闻线人的报料和媒体的舆论导向之间也是密切相关的。
