2007年8月30日,十届人大常委会第二十九次会议通过了《中华人民共和国就业促进法》(以下简称《就业促进法》)。就业是民生之本、安国之策,这部法律的通过,将对中国促进就业工作发挥重要作用。针对促进就业工作中出现的新情况、新问题,《就业促进法》进行制度创新,作了详细规定:同时,吸收了实践中已经成熟的若干促进就业工作的做法、措施,使之上升到法律的高度。现将这部法律中的主要内容介绍如下:一、建立促进就业工作协调机制本法第六条规定,国务院建立全国促进就业工作协调机制,协调推动全国的促进就业工作;省、自冶区、直辖市人民政府根据促进就业工作的需要,建立促进就业工作协调机制。
