We reviewed 741 patients who underwent gastroscopy from March 1995 to March 2000 to investigate the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (HP) and gastric mucosal inflammation and found the characteristics of atrophic gastritis. 1 Method 741 patients were biopsies and pathological examination.
