Objective: To investigate the dynamic changes and correlations of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GSHPX) in bronchopneumonia and to explore its clinical significance. Methods: The levels of SOD, CAT, GSHPX and malondialdehyde (MDA) in 52 patients with bronchopneumonia were detected during the period of convalescence and convalescence. 60 patients in normal control group were enrolled. Results: The levels of SOD, CAT and GSHPX in the period of bronchopneumonia were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The levels of SOD, CAT and GSHPX in the recovery stage were significantly increased, while the levels of MDA were significantly decreased Significant. There was no correlation between the three antioxidant enzymes in the period of convalescence and convalescence of pneumonia group. CONCLUSION: Excessive oxygen free radicals are produced in bronchoalveolar pneumonia, and the activities of antioxidant enzymes SOD, CAT and GSHPX are decreased. Determination of antioxidant enzymes can determine the condition and prognosis. The relationship between these three antioxidant enzymes is complex and statistically unrelated. The above combination of antioxidants provides a theoretical basis for treatment.
