We present a simple method for assessing fracture density and drainage distance based on borehole data. The method is suitable for drilling parallel to bedding and is based on the study of the fracture spacing of outcrops and the experimentally modeled fracture modes. It should be emphasized that this method does not predict rock mass permeability and flow rate. Specifically, it is appropriate to use this method to identify intervals of high fracture densities with long fracture drainage distances. In order to evaluate this method, two-dimensional known fracture pattern characteristics were compared with one-dimensional finite data. One-dimensional data is obtained from boreholes distributed through the above known fractures.
