When it comes to U.S. aid to China during the Second World War, people are familiar with the U.S. economic and military aid to China. During the actual war, China and the United States also meandered a little-known cultural exchange between the two countries. After the Pearl Harbor incident, the United States implemented a cultural assistance plan for China. One of the sub-plans is to invite Chinese scholars to visit the United States. Four groups of Chinese scholars sent one after another to the United States for inspection, all of whom achieved remarkable achievements. Looking at the exchange of personnel in the history of Sino-American cultural relations, different historical stages have different connotations of the times. In this paper, we will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the four groups of scholars who visited the United States from 1943 to 1946 and explore the substance of the U.S. cultural policy toward China during the war.
