More than a decade ago, seismologists focused almost exclusively on far-field observations of focal mechanisms. The main source of far-field observations and analyzes came from very large epicenter distances and very small ground motion records. This analytical study is effective in providing low-frequency information of seismic sources. At present, due to the needs of earthquake engineering, seismologists are gradually turning their attention to simulating and predicting the ground motion of strong earthquakes.
